Mouse Story Time!

We had an absolute blast today at our Stories & Songs 2&3 year old story time.  We read about some sneaky little squeakers, did some fun fingerplays and wiggled ourselves silly.  Afterwards we made these adorable mouse masks.  Super fun!

For the first time, ever...as in...EVER, we present to you the ACCCA (Allegheny County Children's Choice Awards)!!!!

The Allegheny County Children's Choice Awards (AC3A) is a county-wide initiative to get kids in grades 4-6 reading and talking about books and the chance to select the best book of 2010!  In March 2011 participating students will be given the opportunity to cast their vote in a county wide election of the best book of 2010.  The winner will announced at a reading celebration in April at the Heinz History Center.  This event will allow students from all over the county to connect over reading and celebrate the chosen title.  The event will also allow public librarians to alert students and teachers about the Summer Reading Club which ties one school year to the next by encouraging students to read over the summer and participate in programs at the public libraries.
